PANA
This is the Venezuelan word for ‘friend’ or ‘mate’.
¿Tienes muchos panas?
Do you have a lot of friends?
N.B It can also be used as an adjective to mean ‘friendly’.
ARRECHO
Like most Spanish words it seems this can mean a few things in Venezuela…
Either something which is ‘annoying’ or something ‘awesome’ (depending on the context).
Él es muy arrecho.
He is really annoying.Esa película es arrecha.
That film is awesome.
¡SI VA!
Means ‘alright’ or ‘ok’ and is used in a positive way 👍
¿Quieres ir al cine?
¡Si va! A las 6 nos vemos.Do you want to go to the cinema?
Alright! See you at 6.
